The Brampton Lions Foundation of Canada Purina Guide Dogs Walkathon

By:  Laura Thompson Office Manager NTVH

North Town Veterinary Hospital will be participating again this year in the Brampton Lions Foundation of Canada Purina® Walk for Dog Guides on Saturday May 24, 2014 at Chinguacousy Park in Brampton.

We have created a hospital team online to help raise funds for the training and placement of Dog Guides for Canadians with visual, hearing and medical or physical disabilities. The Purina® Walk for Dog Guides is organized by local volunteers and invites everyone, all ages and abilities, with or without dogs to participate in this community event.

Dog Guides are provided at no cost to qualified applicants. Thanks to national sponsors, 100% of the funds raised from the walk go directly to the six Dog Guide training programs. Dog Guides Canada has already provided their specially trained Dog Guides to more than 2,000 men, women and children from ages 4 to 88, all without any government funding. With your help more people can experience the mobility, safety and independence a devoted Dog Guide brings.

Please join or donate online to our Hospital Team: North Town Veterinary Hospital athttps://www.purinawalkfordogguides.com/locations/team.cfm?ID=22
or you can stop by our 24 hour hospital and make a donation.

Every dollar donated will go towards providing Dog Guides to Canadians with disabilities at no cost. All online donations will receive an immediate credit card payment confirmation and an official income tax receipt.

We hope you will help us in supporting this wonderful event! Every donation helps!!
