North Town Vet featured in Brampton Guardian for Emergency Case

The North Town Veterinary Hospital team are proud to share that on April 25th our hospital was mentioned in the Brampton Guardian. The case we were presented with was a unique one. A tiny teacup Pomeranian named Meeka had fallen off a stool at the All About Pet Show. Meeka had hit her head in the fall, and St. John Ambulance Medical First Responders came to the rescue. The St.John Ambulance team had been trained in pet first aid, and knew to start mouth-to-snouth resuscitation right away. After a few attempts to find a heart beat, Meeka was in stable enough condition that they could move her but she was not out of the weeds yet. The SJA team brought her directly to our emergency animal clinic in Brampton where our team worked with her for a few days to get her out of critical care. Meeka was released a few days later to her mom, Terry Dulmage who owns Pampered Pooch Pet Salon in Belleville, ON.
