Veterinary Technician Student Working at North Town

I am currently a second-year veterinary technician student, I am trying to prepare myself for my career in veterinary medicine, and I have never been so scared in my life. I am constantly studying and learning new things.

It amazes me how much there is to learn and how important it is to have a solid understanding of it. In school, technician students have 2 years to learn an abundant amount of information, and sometimes you think, how in the world am I supposed to remember all of this information? We learn about various species, not just dogs and cats, but about horses, sheep, cattle, rodents, etc.

Veterinary technicians are extremely important in the veterinary industry, they are the right hand of the veterinarian, they assist them with patient care, and they are the ones that take care of the patients in a hospital, making sure their patients are comfortable and stable. I look at the technicians at North Town and think how did they do it? They are all extremely knowable and experienced. They have all gone through what I am going through, and they rock at what they do. Someday I think my brain is going to explode, but then I think of how lucky I am to work with these amazing people. All of the technicians here at North Town Vet are caring and only want the best for their patients. They teach me every day what it takes to be the best tech I can be. Even though it has been extremely challenging, I would never want to do anything else. I get to learn from the best to hopefully become one of the best after I graduate.
